Staff Pharmacist PIC or Staff (Full-time) for a busy independent pharmacy $65.00 - $80.00 per hour.
We currently have an opening for a Full-time Pharmacist position (with or without possibility of becoming PIC) at a busy independent pharmacy located in a Medical professional building. Must be able to prioritize and work under pressure sometimes in fast paced environment. Leadership and motivation are keys and would be rewarded.
Required skills:
A successful candidate must possess:
- Minimum 5 years of retail Pharmacist experience required; private (independent) Pharmacy settings STRONGLY PREFERRED.
- Digital RX expert knowledge is a very important asset, but will train a viable candidate.
- MTM, Prior Authorization, EQUIPP, Part D knowledge are necessary.
No INTERNS OR NEW GRADS PLEASE!!!
- California Pharmacist license or eligibility required to apply for the job, please do not apply if not a Pharmacist.
- Excellent Computer PC knowledge: typing 30 words/min +, Microsoft Office: Word, Excel
- Computer knowledge and experience are a must, will not train, need someone who is proficient already.
Current knowledge of the regulations required: Federal, DEA, California State, HIPAA, Medicare, Medi-Cal, Worker's compensation, OSHA, etc.
- Excellent written, verbal and phone communication skills is a must
- Immunization Certified and willing to administer vaccines is required
- Bi-Lingual Spanish is a Plus, but not required
- Must have own transportation and ability to drive (commute).
- Good work organizational skills, neatness, politeness and customer service etiquette are necessary for this position
Attention to details and accuracy are crucial for the successful candidate.
Duties: Taking new prescription, processing, typing, billing issues, filling may be required but not necessary in the beginning, answering phones when the rest of the staff is busy, supervision of the Pharmacy Tech and clerks, some other tasks as necessary per job description.
Salary: $65-80 / hr or COMMENSURATE WITH EXPERIENCE and relevance to our practice.
